Chapter Length

For my question I provided an example of what I'm talking about. I'm on authonomy and I want to post chapters, unfortunately my chapters tend to over 6000 words and think they are too long.

For a standard chapter what in your opinions are good word length and page lengths. I've seen chapters in fantasy fiction that go on for 20+ pages sometimes, but not nowadays. I need some help with this. So please feel free to critique this chapter for length and grammer if you don't mind.

I don't think there is a set number of words for a chapter, because you don't want to end a chapter in the middle of a thought or situation... Just allow it to flow. I've seen chapters that are 20 - 30 pages long and I've seen chapters that are 1 page long. It just depends on the author and the storyline.
