Season of the Witch

I saw the previews for Season of the Witch while waiting for Sherlock Holmes to start on Christmas. Then I looked up Nicholas Cage on IMDB and notice he also did the book the Sorcerer's Apprentice and is Balthazar Blake in that movie. When did Cage switch over to fantasy fiction? Seems an unusual choice for him. Although with knowing and the other movies lately, I can't say I'm surprised.

By the way Season of the Witch looks great!
