When I received my Sony E-reader for Christmas (the PRS-505 model ), it came with about 7 book excerpts and 1 complete novel which was Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.
It also came with the option to select & download 100 classics from a list that kept increasing.
That offer of a free 100 classics expired however the Sony e-store has an option to select free classic eBooks with no limits from a selection of 500 thousand through google.
I don't know which books are on later models of Sony eReader but with access to all the free public domain books, I don't think it matters.
