Wanted to share something exciting that my wife and I just started last week. I don't know if any of you are familiar with Dave Ramsey (www.daveramsey.com) but he is a financial advisor with a daily call-in radio show and a couple books. His principles are common-sense and biblical, and we know a few people who have successfully gone through his progam. The goal is financial freedom which means being completely debt free, having cash at hand and saving/investing for the future. That's just a VERY quick rundown of what this is all about.
Anyway, we started last week and are working on paying off our debt. We made a budget and on a combined monthly income of about $3,500 we are going to be completely free of over $12,000 in debt by August! We're weird, we're gazelle intense and we want to be the best stewards of all God blesses us with as possible! We are so excited to see how God is working in us through this and we would covet your prayer support. PLEASE feel free to ask me questions about this because I am VERY stoked about the Dave Ramsey plan. Have any of you done this? Do any of you think he's terrible and that I'm a fool for following his advice? What do y'all think?
