Does anyone have any suggestions on historical reference sources for the time period in Wales that the King Raven Triology is set in? I am currently working through "The Journey Through Wales" and "The Description of Wales" both by Gerald of Wales (1145 AD - 1243 AD).

I am also reading the Mabinogion translation by Gwyn & Thomas Jones.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

A History of Wales by John Davies might not have enough about this specific time period to satisfy you (80 of its 700 pages cover the years from 800 to 1282), but you could check into it and decide for yourself. And if you get any other leads, please post them here. Welcome!
