So, the first topic of discussion is, yes, The Bright Empires.
SRL said in his interview on the upcoming series that he is looking forward to dealing with elves, sprites, and the like. This, unless I'm mistaken, is unlike his other fantasy stories (I'm thinking of the Dragon King and Albion trilogies).
Mr. Lawhead claims that high fantasy is his "first love," and it should be a refreshing break from his mastery of historical fiction, so I think we can expect to see a lot of passion poured into these books.

He's going to do what he's going to do, and I know that this is already most often the case, but I'd like to see a return to more clearly defined good v. evil, light v. dark like in Empyrion. Not to say that those lines aren't pretty clearly drawn in his other books, and not to say that I'd like something as blatant as Empyrion, but I enjoyed his portrayal of what heaven might be like. Actually, would it be a portrayal of heaven or the millennial kingdom?
