Just wondered what everyones favourite read is (not including Stephen Lawhead). A book that you would recommend without hesitation to anyone.
Mine is The chronicles of Thomas Covenant by Stephen Donaldson, a pretty long book but well worth it, in my opinion everything that LOTR should have been.

My personal favorite aside from Lawhead is LOTR and the various books tied to that line.

Hmmm, that's a hard one? A fave that's not Lawhead?
Well, I suppose I'd have to say Blink, by Ted Dekker. Very entertaining yet suspenseful tale. (I really enjoy Dekker's earlier works more than his new stuff.)

LOTR followed by "The Walking Drum" by Louis L'Amour (first peeked my interest into medieval settings for novels).

I have four favorite books: Fellowship of the Ring(can't claim the entire trilogy--yet!); Gone With the Wind, The Chronicles of Narnia, and as much as it pains me to say it, the Original books in the Shannara Canon.

Nothing wrong with saying you like books when some members of other websites treat you poorly. I try to keep the author's work separate from any people I encounter. Ohhh and good choices for books.

Yeah, I'm beginning to realize that I've been cutting off my nose to spite my face in that regard so I'll be reading Terry again as soon as the mood strikes me, right now I'm just tired all the time. I do love the Pendragon cycle and am looking forward to the New Robin Hood movie. Also why can't I move my cursor back and forth. I can't move it around the paragraphs when I post.

I would venture a guess to say that you aren't touching your mouse and that's the reason you can't move your cursor. I am also looking forward to the new movie. Hard to not like that sort of stuff.

My favorite non SRL work has to be Lord of the Rings due to the depth of detail and with in it the story of Creation and the birth of Illtuvars children are the prize piece(s) of literature therein.
My favorite series as a child was the Chronicles of Narnia and the best books I have read as an adult have been SRLs.
yet aot of works are so good and come close but none so far have topped these.

When I'm not reading SRL my tastes tend to wander over to scifi. And under that vein I would absolutly recommend the book "Foundation" by Issac Asimov. It can read as a stand alone, or if you're interested in it, it has 4 sequels and 2-6 prequels. It's a fun read and has it's inspiration in The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire so there is some slight historical parallels to pick up.

Definitely, the Lord of the Rings - especially Return of the King.
