I read this on another board and it sounds interesting.
"I was wondering if anyone would know the name and title of this book that i read a long time ago or know how i can research it on the internet. the plot is a young heir was kidnapped and his kilt was thrown in the river to look like he had drown. that's the beginning of the story. than chapter one is where a english lass with the boy are waiting in a church for the boy's godfather to show up to safely escort him to his father who is a powerful laird in scotland. the lass' uncle had kidnapped the boy and she had help the boy to escape. in order to get as far as the church she had to proclaim herself the wife of the boy's godfather who is also a scotlish warrior or laird. her intentions are only to safely return the boy but when he arrives and asks her what her name is and once again she proclaims herself as this man's wife in front of witness he tells her that she is now his wife by scottish law and takes her with them to return the boy to his father. if any one can help me find this book it would be greatly appreciated. Sounds interesting. Without any names of characters or locations it makes tracking the book down a lot harder.

I haven't got a clue but would you know the name of the book if you heard it? Maybe do a search for Scottish Historical Fiction at a Library website or ask a Librarian directly. They know tons and tons of stuff. (they read books for a living.) Just a suggestion. Sincerely, the Maid ;D
