So i saw glimpses on the internet of a BBC series on Robin Hood that is "based" on the books by SRL. Has anyone seen these? I am an American living in Jordan so i dont even see normal programming these days...
p.s. sorry if this has already been posted on

I can't say I've ever seen them. I don't recall ever having heard of anyone doing something based on SRL's work so this is great news.

I know about the series, but I'm not sure it's based on SRL's stuff

I've seen some of the series, and it doesn't look like it. that would be cool though to see something like that, or even on the big screen

I did see something on the BBC about Robin Hood and his legend (here in Canada we get lots of British TV as much as we do American). In the one I saw, they interviewed lots of "experts" but none of them could hold a candle to Stephen. I watched it for 2 hours thinking "they have to talk to Stephen, they just HAVE to" but they didn't. He knows more than the "experts" with one brain tied behind his back. Why O Why doesn't the world recognize he's a genius??!!! It's so frustrating. When people tell me "never heard of him" I feel like they just kicked my dog. hmph. Maidryn

Yeah, it's not based on Lawhead. It's after the third crusade or something and it's still in Nottingham. After I read that, I immediately dismissed it. I defininately think that King Raven Trilogy would make a blockbuster movie trilogy! Someone here should right a script or something of it and give it to Newline or something. Weta'd have to do the props though.

He knows more than the "experts" with one brain tied behind his back. Wait a minute, how many does he have?! ;D And yeah, King Raven trilogy on the big screen would be phenomenal. Sadly, really good medieval-flavored movies are so rare. I'd want to see KRT done with as few CGI as possible and shot with that organic raw feel that made Braveheart and Last Of The Mohicans so good.

And Peter Jackson would have to direct it of course.
