I've finally got my copy of Hood and I'm almost finished it (on Part 5). As I've read through the book I've realized that I've been strongly drawn to one character in particular and I'm not at all happy about it. For some reason I can totally relate to Angharad. Of course, she would have to be an "old hag"!!!!! I just kept thinking what a could kick in the backside Bran should get. Then when Angharad led him (rather cleverly) to help his people I thought, "Way to go, Grandma". I don't like to think of myself as an old lady so I'll just say that I relate to her because she is so filled with wisdom and let it go at that. I suppose when my neighbors and friends ask me if I'm looking to relocate to the nearest isolated forest, then it's time to buy some moisturizer. (Where would I plug in my computer if I lived in the forest?) What character did you relate to most ? and why?

Well, I must say that when I first read Hood, I was very much drawn to Bran's character in that he has to grow and become the leader he was born to be. That's how I've felt a lot...I need to grow up and be who I need to be.

Mérian, of course I am so glad she got out from under the thumb of society, even though it wasn't voluntary at first...
