Okay...this has been bothering me since I read the Iron Lance. It is only one reference, and it is to the Garden Tomb. They referenced that it was in a certain direction, however, at that time period, the garden tomb had yet to be "discovered" (I put it in quotes because I don't think it was Christ's temporary tomb). Anyway, it was "discovered" in the early 1880's, which is obviously much later than the First Crusade.
Ok...so I'm a little hyper-sensitive.

I just thought that all those eager pilgrims were eager to go off and see something; maybe there was a traditional location before the Garden Tomb as we know it today was discovered. Or maybe it was known that the tomb would likely be in a certain area without knowing where exactly it was.
But maybe not.
