Sorry it took so long to respond; been busy.
I wish I could do more research. I need a court order to have Dad's adoption records opened, and I just don't have the money or time to go through all that right now.

Welcome to the Clan! I too am a Carter by descent ... matrilineal in my case!
It's fun to think of THE Arthur as the originator of the Clan...
