Does anyone know whether any of the first three books in the Pendragon Cycle were ever published in Hardcover? I can't find a single one in hardcover on any of the search services.

They were not. I have first printings of all three... trade paperback.
I hold out hope, however, that a hardcover reprint will be done someday.

I'm in the same boat as Calixar. I have the first printings and continue to hope that a hardcover will be done in the future.

Thanks for your definitive replies, gentlemen.
As the books are considered classics (late classics I suppose) perhaps a Donald M. Grant or Wandering Star type publisher will do a limited edition on the series. I would certainly pay good money if the job were done right (original artwork and a nice binding).

Oooh... hardcovers with the original covers... that would be nice!
I have one of the promo posters for the boxed set with the original cover of Arthur on it. His costume, the background... I just love that picture. I wish I had similar posters with the the other two pictures.
