Yes, I came back... disappeared... and came back again. Reminds me of this old song from the Muppet Show about the cat coming back and not staying away.
Hopefully I'll stick around for awhile this outing. I've got a little more time on my hands thanks to a career change (in progress) and a return to academia (at last!), plus the elimination of a lot of stress thanks to said career change.
In the time since I last appeared I've begun a film project that should wrap by January's end if all goes well, begun a young adult novel, and enrolled in a script writing contest slated for the month of April.
Mrs. Grimm and I also recently took in a little boy (her cousin) who lost his mother and was in danger of being taken out of the immediate family and into who knows where for foster care. This makes five kids in total. It's been an interesting transition, difficult in a way and exciting in a way. We're thrilled to have him here, and I think he's fitting in nicely so far.
So, plenty of irons in the fire but that's how we seem to work best!

Wow. Sounds like you've been really busy but I'm glad things are going better for you. Good luck with all that and try to have some fun.

Thanks. It's actually a lot of fun having all these kids around, and both the Mrs. and I get to have our fun as a couple and as individuals with our own friends and pursuits, thanks to the help of family. It's amazing how youthful having kids and associate with kids makes one feel. I just turned 29 on the first, so it's not like I'm even approaching "old" exactly, but even at this age there's a lot about being a kid that I've already forgotten. It's refreshing and invigorating to remember. Probably why I'm getting into elementary education. I intend to feel young well into my old age. Plus the schedule's not too bad either...
