Good luck to your brother, and I hope you don't get too lonely without him. At least you have such wonderful things as phone and internet, so you'll be able to keep in touch.

*hugs COI* Don't worry. . .before you know it you'll be off to college half way across the world. It's hard to leave siblings and have them leave . . . I'm learning this just now . . . but just because he's not around all the time doesn't mean you won't hear from him. Make sure he calls you at least once a week. My family and I do this and it keeps me up to date on things at the same keeping them all up to date on my life. We remain connected and a stronger family for it.
*Hugs again* If you need to chat, you can poke me any time

Thanks. **hugs back** Did I tell you he's going to college with a girl he met in Washington DC (they were on a trip for the winners of the National Peace Essay Contest) after flying out to take her to her prom and her coming here to his graduation? She's here right now. Extremely nice and pretty.

Wow. It certainly sounds like there is more than simple interest involved here.
I hope everything goes well for you both. Stay in touch with each other and it will help make the distance feel not as great.
Best wishes.

He'll finally be gone! He's going off to college across the country after spending the summer halfway across the country. A year or so ago I would have been glad, but he's been a lot nicer since we've both matured. It'll be weird without my big brother around (really big, since he's at least a head taller than everyone else. You don't need to worry about getting lost in a crowd while he's around). Good luck to your brother! My sister and I got closer when I went to college. Hopefully, the same is true for you. We were 6 years apart. What's your age difference to him?

Two years now, between his birthday and mine it'll be three years.
