Nope.

I've got to reread it again because I can't come up with it for the life of me.

CoI, you might want to be more specific about what you want or why Dred's answer was wrong. The description of "Sauron's Road from Barad-dûr to the Sammath Naur, the Chambers of Fire" seems to fit the question the way you've worded it, even if you have something else in mind.

I was looking for the actual name of the road. Sorry.

How about a hint? In which book would we find said name of road?

Return of the King, book 5

HaHaHa I knew it would be in book 5 but haven't found it just yet. I think Tegid might already know the answer but he's being most kind in delaying his own response.

What's the answer? Let's get the answer and a new question so this thread doesn't die.

In the interest of moving this thread along, I'm going to kill this question and create a new one...
In the Mines of Moria, quote Gandalf's words to Pippen when he knocked the skeleton into the well.

"Fool of a Took. Throw yourself in next time and rid us of your stupidity."

Dred, would you like to ask a new question? If you need confirmation that you got the right answer (which I'm sure you don't), I'll testify.

I'm looking at the map of Mordor--they never named the road--It's on the Plains of Gorgoroth.

rhiannon, we've moved on from that question.
[brown]Dred[/brown], those were the words in The Movie. To be sure, Tolkien's version starts out with, "Fool of a Took!" and eventually contains the phrase, "throw yourself in next time," but Jackson and Tolkien flesh out the rest of it differently. It's up to others, especially question-asker [brown]twyrch[/brown], whether the movie quote is adequate. (This was started as a book-and-not-movie thread.)
