Hello! Like I said in the title, i'm portuguese - i don't know if i'm the first one, but if i'm not, hello to all my fellow portuguese people! I'm 24, i love to read and i'm a huge fan of Stephen Lawead's writing. I want to improve my english, and i'm already trying to ship some books of my favourite author - specially Patrick, that i haven't seen here in Portugal yet. I hope I can be a positive influence in this Forum, and hope everyone enjoys my posting. Greetings from Oporto, Portugal! By the way, if you see any mistakes, or some discouraging lack of sense in my sentences, be kind enough to tell me and correct me. You see.. English is not my mother tongue!

It is great to have someone else on here at the same time as me. Fortunate for you, it is not 5am your time like it is here in Wisconsin. It is an ungodly hour to be awake, especially at work.
Welcome to the forum! Read away, and post whenever you're ready. We care little about proper grammar - hopefully we don't hinder your progress. Feel free to teach us a little Portuguese...I can't speak Spanish either, so I don't have to worry about confusing the two!

To be awaken at 5am at work... well, you must love your job or simply have too much to do, hm? Feel free to ask anything about Portugal - i may not know it, but i sure know how to search for it! To teach some portuguese... I'm not the best of teachers, but hey, I can always try!

That is so cool. I know that it isn't the same, but my brother spent two years in Brazil learning Portguese which was pretty cool--especially since he studied French in jr. high and high school. . .I'm sure he butchered the language. Don't worry about your English. Since it's your second language you have a right to break it. But if there is a glaring mistake I see, I'll drop you a line (English Major here ) Hope to see you here and I hope you'll veture out to all the forums!

Surely your brother must be mixing some portuguese and french expressions - i would like to ear that! Ok, I'm counting on your wisdom to improve my english. Hope you don't have many chances to correct me, though! About the forums... I'm silently exploring each one of them.

Welcome to the boards. I'm glad you've found your way here.
Don't worry about getting everything grammatically correct. Most of us that grew up with English as our primary language don't get it proper all the time.
You're doing great so far.
Look around and have some fun.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Welcome Dark Sorcerer! It's good to have you here on the boards!
Dred here has to keep me in line all the time in the Word Games because I skip letters all the time...so don't worry, we'll keep each other in line...
I look forward to posting with you.
We sponsor a child in Brazil who speaks Portguese. We trade letters every month and our letters are always translated and they translate my letters into Portguese for her. I wish I knew Portguese.
