I started reading Taliesin today after a loooooong hiatus of no reading. I used to love reading, and Lawheads books have always been my favorites, but during a period of rebellion in my life, I' ve missed out on Avalon, and everything since. In the past couple of years, The Lord Jesus, has worked throught many ways, but especially christian radio, particularly CSN (Calvary Satalite Radio -- csnradio.com). My prior interest primarily in Christian music has been replaced by a hunger for the Word of God preached constantly. This only materialized after deep repentance, followed by submission and obedience. I have been freed from the obssessions of: cigarette smoking, daily sexual fantasy/masturbation (aka Adultery per Jerus) , obssessions with Star Wars, especially collecting Star Wras related material costing my family thousands of dollars, time and attention ( Idolatry because it was more important than to me than Jesus. Also I was at the same time buying every new Star Wars related Video game for GameCube, and Playstation. The Lord made it clear to me that He wanted me to destroy it all as if it held no value to me at all, after arguing with Him, and trying to go around the situation, I finally relented, and loaded everything up in the car, and burned it all, video games included. I became the possesor of a Peace of Mind from the guilt of all these things, and over a year later, I am free of all. Not to say I don't get tempted, but its much easier to fight the unholy urges when you are walking in fellowship with Him. Giving Him the Pre-eminence He deserves. Praise Him Forever!! Jesus is the Everlasting Lord OF GLORY!
