I first discovered Stephen's books when I was in year 10 at high school (1996) and I have read the Albion Trilogy a few times since then. I actually read the first 300 pages of "The Silver Hand" on Saturday, I just cannot put these books down when I start reading.
I haven't yet read the other series, but there is plenty of time for that yet
Thanks
p.s How does one get access to the Albion House?
Cheers

Welcome to the forums - three cheers for the ever-increasing Aussie presence!
Let me say that there are many wonderful people here... I'm gradually getting to know them. One thing I've discovered, however, is that the MOST wonderful are in house Avalon.
A testimony; Once, I was wondering the netheregions of these forums, lost, and considering Empyrion house... but then I saw the light. It said 'Avalon, Avalon'. I made the decision, and never turned back... we are even getting close to knocking Albion off in the points scoring.
Good (... *thinks* ...) early afternoon, Nick! And welcome to you! We're glad to have you join us!
You have excellent taste in books! The Albion series is indeed outstanding, and they'll make great lifelong literary companions for you. Let us know your thoughts on those books, and the ones you read in the future, in the SRL Book Themes and Questions thread; we'd love to hear what you have to say!
It's true that there are wonderful folks here. *Some* of them are indeed in Avalon, but the other houses certainly have as much a share of people who have "seen the light" as well. There are a bunch of friends here waiting to be made, no matter which house you join, if any at all.
Looking forward to your posts --

Welcome to the Forum Nick! There are other forum members from your part of the world who post here as well.
Currently, Albion is full... we can either place you on a waiting list (which could last for months) or you could choose a different house. The choice is totally up to you.
There are many, many wonderful people here. Some have joined houses and others are living the free life outside them. I'm sure you'll encounter them both as you wander around the threads.
Recruiting is more than acceptable but house bashing is a bad thing. Don't make me beat you with a wet noodle.
And not to boast but with our recent 10th thread addition in House Avalon, all members now boast a degree of health benifits that will not be gotten into at any point whatso ever. Recently, I had the contractor stop by our house to see what he can do about a 13th thread addition. His first estimate was a bit pricey but we are currently in negotiations to see if we can lower the price.
And I know I'm proud of your shameless self house promoting Margim

I warned you... but would you listen to me? Oh no... It's just a harmless little thread, isn't it....
