well, then, as you can all tell, im new here. soooooo, yeah, quick question, whats with the common rooms, how do you get into one and just what's it about? Welcome to the Forum, Medler. I'm glad you can join us here. Well, most of your questions can be answered in threads in the Forum News and Announcements area... But Forum Houses are put in place for people to choose "house" which becomes a small form of your forum family, based off the houses in the Harry Potter books/movies. The house names are based off Lawhead books but you don't have to know anything about Lawhead or his books to join a house. House Albion is based off the three books in the Song of Albion Series. (Paradise War, Silverhand, Endless Knot) House Avalon is based off the six books in the Pendragon Cycle. (Taliesin, Merlin, Arthur, Pendragon, Grail, Avalon) House Byzantium is based off the single book, Byzantium. House Empyrion is based off the sci-fi Empyrion Series (Search for Fierra and Siege of Dome) These houses compete in competitions throughout the month and at the end of the month, their points are added up and Karma is given to each member. Karma points allow people to purchase things like random sigs, random avvys, glowing names etc... To join a house, simply send me a PM letting me know which house you want to join. Albion is full, but the others still have room in them. The threads that you need a 250 post count for are Faerie Fire and Piccadilly Square. The Cairn is for the mods/admin and the House area is for those in respective houses. Those are pretty much the only secure areas. You can gain access to some of them as time spent here will help you find out. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
