Thats pretty sweet. I wish I could spend my time doing that. My only excuse to go over there is to go for a fencing competiton. The rest of the time I'm stuck here in New York.

Yea fencing is pretty cool... and I always encourage anyone who wants to try it to do it. I have a theory about that acctually. Everyone wants to be or have a sword swinging hero in shining armor. I've got the sword swinging thing down so now all I have to worry about is the armour But I also think its equally cool that your backpacking around the British Isles despite the obvious difficulty of walking and water tending to not have happy results.

hmmm...walking......thats a little hard after the whisky...... water... uhm.......lets just say the image of a healthy surfing australian may be shot down a tad at this stage................ i WAS a fit surfing australian till i arrived here, now .....uhm....did i say whisky? ?? beleive it or not, but haggis is actually dang tasty...sort like minced beef but spicey.... or Haggis, Neeps ( sweet potato) and tatties ( mashed potato ) yes thats the traditional serving....in a pub anyways.... lol then there is the ' Adressing of the Haggis ' which is actually some traditional thing they do.......... lmao

Welcome to the forum, Gwalchavad!!! You don't live too far from where my immigrant ancestor grew up in Aberdeen. As for British Quizzine, I love Shephard's Pie... As Saru would say, it's "fried gold".
