Hey all, just new so doing the old 'get to know'. Here's my deal...

From: New Zealand. People didn't used to know where that was or what it looked like, then we all saw Lord of the Rings.

Just turned 30! (Man that is weird.)

I’m paid to be a pastor, leading this community www.unityx.co.nz and do some part time work at a small community access internet and computer training place.

I own and have read very Lawhead apart from Brown Ears, Hero and Avalon (which I have but haven’t read).

I’m a bit of a classic fantasy fan and follow the books by…
Feist
Goodkind (although they bother me at times)
And just starting on Eddings

An interest in all things Medieval got me into collecting and painting Warhammer figures. (Empire, Bretonian, Dogs of War)

Like many others around here, I’m also an aspiring novelist. I’m currently working on my first and hope to seek a publisher in a year or so. Yes, yes, it’s fantasy.

Hey there Blix! Nice to meet you. Welcome to the Stephen Lawhead forum.

New Zealand is beautiful country... and yes, I knew that before LOTR. So you're a pastor, eh? Awesome. I have my credentials of Ministry... but no church. I work with computers.

So I see you collect Lawhead books.

So do I. Are you particular about the editions you keep or do you just have to them have them? Either way's cool... I'm just curious. I'm anal when it comes to my collection. ;D

Yeap, I'm a bit reluctant to say 'I'm a Pastor' sounds a bit much like 'I've arrived'! Which is not at all how I experience it. However it is great in a sense to draw income from your lifestyle!

Lawhead books: no I'm not too particular. I'm proud of my Pendragon box set (1st 3 books) and my SOA hardbacks with (i think) Rodney Matthews cover art.

I'm particular about my books as well. Apparently I only collect editions that have the most publishing errors known to man. Seriously.

I've checked out other prints at the library and compared - mine are worse by far.

That's OK....that's what makes them special.

True! A total typo. I was just thinking it's most likely more about 'creating worlds' than gardening as such.
