This is my favorite style of writing... anybody care to join me?
The moon was bright the night I was knighted by Draan, King of Anduris. It was a moment I would never forget; as he took his sword and placed it on my shoulders, he repeated those words which told me, and all those gathered to witness, that I was now a new elf, a elf dedicated to the service of His Majesty.
I stood alone later to ponder my fate, but as I looked up to the stars, some movement behind me caused me to turn. It was Aleynn, one of the kings servant girls. She was a beautiful thing, with auburn hair the flowed down her back in a beautiful braid. "Well," She smiled at me, "You are now a knight." "Yes," I said. "And I am now on full-wages." She threw her arms around me. "Oh, Eluvar, now we may be married, yes?" I wanted nothing more, and I told her this. "But-" I hesitated. "Since the great wars it is uncommen to see an elf marry a human." She pondered this. "Uncommen, yes, but not unheard of."
Someone can continue from there...

I turned away. I could not tell her what the King had told me that evening. How could I choose to leave her and so soon, making no promises of my return. It was too dangerous to hint of this...even to my most trustworthy and beloved Aleynn.
She gripped my sleeve. "It is something else, is it not?"

I paused. she sensed my hesitation. "You must go." I nodded. "The king is having trouble with his nothern neighbors. I am to leave and never come back." She laughed. "Is that all? I shall go with you!" I had thought of this, but there were too many complications. "You are the king's servant-girl." I said. "He won't let you go." "He will if you do something that pleases him." She said. "We shall have to think of something to do."

"Eluvar, I could just... go with you?" Her face had grown pale, and I looked around to see what had caused her sudden fear.
In the distance, young Prince Karthan seemed to be seeking someone along the pathways of the garden. Could he be the reason for her tension? Gently, I led her behind the bushes, and she exhaled as though she had been holding her breath.
"Why the sudden change, Dearest?"
She stared at me pensively for a moment, then her jaw firmed as she pressed her lips together and I knew the secret would not be shared tonight.

"I don't feel good all of the sudden. Can we find somewhere to sit down" she said. "Not until you tell me whats wrong" I said. But, still she would not budge on the issue so I let it go. But somehow, I had a funny feeling I would need to keep an eye on Prince Karthan.
