It has been so long since I've seen the originals, I wish I could give a comparison, but I can't. I can tell you about the new one, though.
THIS MOVIE IS LAUGH OUT LOUD HILARIOUS!!
I'm not a huge Dean Martin fan, but this was great. A little dark at times for kids (two semi-dramatic murder scenes), so maybe a rental is in order if you have younger children. But it is definately a good laugh for the whole family.

I'll probably go see it, but no one will ever replace Peter Sellers in my mind as Inspector Clouseau. So funny.
By the way, dgan, I love your avi.

Well, you may not be a "Dean Martin" fan so it's a good thing that "Steve Martin" was in this film.
I laughed my head off at this film. The originals were so great that it's hard to compare them but this was well worth watching. Brought tears to my eyes at different points.
All I can say is "haaaburger"

Now the American English training is hilarious, however... (*laugh* It is just me, I'm sure.) I was hiding my face through half the scenes. I get so embarassed over shameless stupidity, even if it's not my own, that I can't handle it. The parts I could stand were great!

Dean Martin, Steve Martin...whatever...I don't like either of them. Gosh, I'm terrible with names. Thanks for correcting me Tegid.

LMAO
You just got me to shoot diet dew out my nose with that. Thanks a lot.
The Martins are all the same aren't they? Martin Short would fit into that as well I imagine.

The originals were better in my mind but this was good for a laugh. I like Steve Martin, Dean Martin, Martin Short, etc. Best keep away from the comp when reading our witty attempts at posting.
