Well I'm fairly certain this isn't kicking around somewhere so I thought I'd start one up. So which artist strikes your artistic fancey? Mine at the moment is Frank Frazetta. I have to say that my favorite artist is Monet. I love the colors that he uses. (My whole house is Monet-colored, with each room having a different color.)
I saw one of his paintings at a museum in Ohio and I remember just sitting there staring at it up close looking at all the paint and how it looked so different when you stepped back. Remarkable.

I love Brian Froud and Arthur Rackham's work. Brian Froud did all the concept art for Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal, and Arthur Rackham did iullstrations for many children's books.
