I saw Newsies for the first time over the weekend, and instantly fell in love. It's just so much fun to watch and has rediculously infectious songs. You gotta love a musical that has Bill Pullman in it.  |

That was my sister's favorite movie for so long!! She was totally smitten with the main character!!
The songs are great.

Yes! I grew up with this movie when it first came out. I am involved in the theater, so musicals have been a viewing standard. I feel like I've grown up with Christian Bale who played Jack Kelly (not that I know him or anything), but his movies througout the years have and are continuing to have an impact of my life and my viewing habits. First, Empire of the Sun....then, Henry V.....Newsies...Swing Kids...Reign of Fire....BATMAN BEGINS. It has been interesting to seem him mature as an actor.

I LOVE THAT MOVIE! Amazing songs, acting, plot, music, everything! I, unlike waterhouseemrys, have only seen Christian Bale in Newsies and Batman Begins. However, it struck me that between those two movies, he seemed to have hardly aged at all. He looked just the same, and has that same trademark grin.
Despite the fact I've only seen Christian in those two movies, he's one of my favorite actors.
