I went to see it last Saturday. I thoroughly enjoy it but I'm not going to go into any details about specifics so those of you who haven't seen it won't have to worry about finding out what happens in the film.
It was well worth the money and time spent. The only thing I would have liked to be different was for my wife and I to actually be able to sit together when watching it. The theater was so crowded we couldn't even sit close to each other.

I loved this movie!!! I can't believe the Aussies are going to ban people under age 15 from seeing it... Geez!! It's not THAT dark... If they think Book 4 is bad, then Book 6 will be rated R.

I thought the movie was great!! The only thing I didn't care for was how they changed some of the things around in the movie. But, that usually happens when a book is turned into a movie.

I'm not a Harry Potter fan... I think the most I read was the first dozen pages of book one. But my sister talked me into taking her to go see it and we both agreed that it really didn't meet our expectations. Dombledoor just seemed way out of character in comparision to the other 3 movies and I was surprised that there wasn't an intense grilling of Harry at the end about what happened when he got the goblet.
Keep in mind, I'm looking at this as a movie sequal and not so much a movie adaptation.

I thought they did an excellent job of adapting the book, considering how much raw material they had to force into two and a half hours. I think the spirit of the movie was fairly close to the book. I have a few qualms about minor details, such as not seeing the Chinese Fireball, and I noticed that Crouch Jr's hair is the wrong color (amusing that I noticed it, more than anything), The Yule Ball was the low point in all four movies... The music was disappointing. I expected it to be different, but it was overall too melodramatic, and it lacked the elegance of Williams' score, not to mention the complete butchery of the main theme.
(minor rant; apology in advance) About kids in the theater: I saw a kid who was about four in the theater when I went. I guess a lot of parents think of HP as being kid's stuff, and can't be bothered to screen the movie, or even to look at ratings. I'm always shocked when I see kids in movies they shouldn't be watching; all three LOTR movies had kids under seven in them. When I saw Spiderman 2, this woman brought a baby and a two year old with her. We can tell where her priorities are.
