I am so mad at myself I promised I would wait to see it with my friend, but she is not coming home from Iowa until tommorow and I have to wait until saturday to see it. It must be amazing though, I don't know if this is a canadian or international stat, but its opening weekend earned more than the first two LOTR movies each did!

I don't think it was the same handerchief. If you notice, Lucy's hanky was monogramed. The one Tumnus gave her at the end wasn't.

I think one of the most remarkable things about Narnia was all the small children, including my youngest sister, who sat still and quiet throughout the whole movie. Well, except for the little boy in front of my family and I who, when the Stone Table cracked, cried out "Where'd he go?". It was one of the cutest things I've ever seen or heard.
Plus, Narnia is back up to #1 in the box office. Take that Kong and Potter!

I went and saw the movie a second time and loved it again! Plus I consider it a vote for great a movie. Now, I want to vote for a great DVD but I guess I'll have to wait a while for that.

This was indeed a great movie that bowled me over on first viewing! Rarely do I see something a second time till it goes to the cheap theaters or to DVD, but I had the opportunity to see this one again with some true Narnian friends, [red]DanTheMan[/red] and [pink]dreamer[/pink], and that made this one all the more awesome!

Narnia! Loved it! For more of my thoughts, visit: karenee.blogspot.com/2005/12/lion-witch-and-wardrobe.htmlEdit: I just wrote this for another site, and thought I'd post it here. 1. It was a great movie. 2. It followed the book as well as can be expected from a movie. 3. They certainly didn't attempt to make it less religious. I think the protests that I find most amusing are those having to do with image quality. I mean, maybe they cut corners to bring down cost, (I certainly couldn't tell) but what's wrong with that? They did such an excellent job--far, far above any other attempt that has been made, that complaining about minor issues that aren't generally noticeable seems a little like plucking for straws. As to the actors, the story, the way the scenes were shot... everyone has their preferences as to style for any of these, and there's no way everyone would agree that it was well done. For me? I've used up all my exclamatory positives in talking about it and must wait for new words good enough to show my appreciation. You most likely will love it too. If you haven't gone to see it yet, I recommend that you run to the nearest theater and remedy the situation.

I recently read a review that said that, while children may love the movie, "discerning adults" would see that it is only mediocre. I think that "discerning adults" (and I pray that I never become one myself) shouldn't be going to see Narnia at all. All I have to do is watch my youngest sister watch the movie and I know that they got it right.

did anyone else get irked when they change the name of Fenris Ulf to Maurgrim. I was a seriously like WTF?!
Anyway adored the movie, I bawled at the Stone Table scene. My friend didn't like though, she thought it was too scary, wimp. But I loved it, the music was a thrill, and to see Tumnus, Awww man that was tight. I totally relived my childhood

Yeah, I thought that it was weird that they changed Maugrim's name, but it was only for one edition or so, and they called him Maugrim in the movie.
