We've only just had the first season of Atlanits wrap up, and unlikely to get SG1 season 9 til its completed in the states...
But it will be a different cast, thats for sure. Both Browder and the actress playing Vala were frrom Farscape... kind of a tribute to lame Australian produced science fiction, perhaps?

I suppose it can depend on if you are losing (or have already lost) interest in the series, but the cast change isn't so bad. Not having seen Farscape, I had no connection or expectation, though, and that might have made a difference with me accepting them onto the SG1 team.
The interplay between Vala and Daniel Jackson I found to be really funny. His character on the show is always using the psychological and/or intellectual side to effect a result from people (in contrast to the science and military expertise of the other characters on the show) but this doesn't work so well with Vala because she's basically a spoiled brat who you can't really trust. Daniel's theories are always about trusting and so it's funny to see him having to deal with that, IMHO.

BTW, I've never really found Australian scifi to be lame, just full of a certain quirkiness.
Is that a word?

I loved Farscape--until it devolved in to cartoonishness. It's first two seasons were incredible.

I loved stargate SG-1, and stargate atlantis. Likewise, I agree with dinadan about farscape, yet sometimes I still enjoy watching it.  |

Love stargate!!! The guy that also played MacGuyver...LOL can't remember his name right now...is still a hunk! ROFL have had a crush on him and David Hasselhoff since was about 10...I may be very happily married (and married to another georgous man might i add )but I am not DEAD. Over all the writing for the series was great and I love how they brought over the actors from the Film, with a few substitutions. I really enjoyed the series. Unfortunately I didn't have the Sci-Fi channel again till recently and have missed most of Stargate Atlantis. Will try to watch when I get a chance...rarely have time as my kids keep me busy.
