I have some that come and go with the times but all time favorites would have to be
Pink Floyd Devo R.E.M. David Bowie Tom Waits Nirvana
A couple without enough cds under their belts yet but with one or two more good efforts would be
Firewater Alabama 3
In my opinion they are the only two bands who have put out anything decent in the last 5+ years.

I'll do me a top 5 too;
Ministry KMFDM The Dust Brothers Aphex Twin Nine Inch Nails
I loves them all, so much that I hump their CDs when no one is looking. I mean.... erm.... ignore me...

Sixpence None the Richer--especially The Fatherless and the Widow and This Beautiful Mess
The Beatles
Eden's Bridge
I can't think of any more (I tend to prefer vocalists--Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Elvis Presley, et cetera--to full-fledged bands.)
