As you have undoubtedly noticed, the forum is getting an extreme makeover. This may result in questions, confusion, and lost pets. If you experience any of those, please let us know here and we'll do our best to help you out. Understand that this update is an incremental process, since we all have other jobs. A big thanks to Twyrch for pulling the trigger and putting 95% of the effort into making this happen and making it work. So post here if you find yourself beginning to say any of the following: What the...?! Where is...? Why...? How do I...? Is there a problem with...? Uhhh.... Any statement beginning with #@%$ should be directed in a PM to any of the Mods. Happy posting!

From what I understand, forum money has a direct correlation to your post count and is used to purchase perks like the glowing name and stuff like that (no, if you already have it you don't have to pay).

Not only that, but Karma is gone and reputation has been added. Reputation is different than Karma, in that it adds your Karma and Forum Money together to give you a total Reputation.
I don't know what we're going to do with this stuff yet, but we thought it might be fun to mess with.

can we still change the back ground colors like before? The brightness of the new look hurts my eyes.

I can't post to the shoutbox. It suggests I might have cookies deactivated, but that isn't the case. Any ideas?

You can also check the shoutbox website and see if there's anything particular to your computer setup. www.myshoutbox.comkgoods - Just change the skin choice in your profile.

Oh, rats, I would have to accept a broader range of third-party cookies. *sigh*

I don't know which browser you use on your Mac, Tegid, but all the ones I know of would allow you to accept all cookies for this site only. Then you could keep your current cookie settings for all other sites. On IE, it is called 'Trusted Sites'. All browsers should have an equivalent.
I used to encounter the same problem when providing end-user support for online banking sites. But that was years ago, and I can't remember how to do it on the other browsers.

Uh-oh. What do I do to get areas of the forum back? For example, the cursor changed when I moused over "Stephen Lawhead" or "Entertainment" or the like. So I clicked on one to see what would happen, and now that area is gone. I don't see what to do to get it back.

Tegid, for some stupid reason, I decided to duplicate your problem. Yup...now mine are gone, too. LOL It would seem Twyrch has implemented a type of "tree", allowing us to expand and contract the various forums...unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a way to expand them at the moment.
You can still navigate "invisible" forums by using the Forum Jump drop down menu at the far bottom right of the page. That will have to suffice until we get this little thing fixed.

That's a new feature to hide areas you don't want to see. If you need to reveal them again, under the "Additional Forum Statistics" you will see something that says:
Total Catagories: # Total Catagories Diplayed: # Total Catagories Hidden: # (list)
if you click on the "list" button, it should list all of the catagories you have hidden and give you an option to remove them all from hidden view.
Another thing you can do is clear your temporary internet files and/or reboot.

Is it that way with all the buttons or just some of them?
You might try changing the skin being used. That might make them more visible for you.
