Hi ALL! I was just curious why an Obama 08 advertisement is on this website? I don't want to get into a huge political argument, I was just wondering why something like that would be on this website? Because I assume not everyone on this site is for Obama. . .  (again not trying to create a huge politcal debate or anything, just curious) |

I believe that they are randomly generated ads, not placed there by anyone on these boards.
At least I hope not :-)

Things are generated randomly to the best of my knowledge. We don't publicly endorse any candidate in any way.
If you read the small print towards the bottom right of the ad, you'll see that it is paid for by Proboards.com which is the hosting site for our forum.

I don't know, but that's one dilemma that would be hard to solve. Do we allow his advertising or support him financially? GRR! Why should we have to do either?

I believe that if we payed money to remove advertising, how that money was spent would be up to those people in charge of proboards and we wouldn't have a say.

For that matter, how many places do you shop on a regular basis that may or may not support different candidates? For example, Wal-Mart... fundrace.huffingtonpost.com/neighbors.php?type=emp&employer=Wal-MartThis is a list of all individuals associated with Wal-Mart who have made contributions to different candidates.
