The time he was behind her, she was rescuing a goat she had heard bleating in the sand-trap pit.
(On another occasion, she and Jay were following what they thought was the voice of their father calling them. But it was Ha-Raphah ahead of them [not pursuing from behind], impersonating Dr. Cooper's voice to lure them into the pit.)
