At my LJ I asked everyone to ask me three questions. . .this was one that a friend proposed to me. . .
What do you think is the sexiest thing a man could do for you?
So I answered it truthfully. . .now I propose it to you. . .what do you think is the sexiest thing a man/woman (depending on your preferrence ) could do for you?

Hmmm...I don't know what the sexiest thing EVER would be...but I do know the sexiest thing so far...
My best friend and I were on a hike in his woods by the creek that runs past both our houses, and we climbed up into his barn loft and just sat there and watched the sunset. Finally, when the stars came out, he offered me his hand to help me down, then held my elbow all the way back to his house. That was the loveliest thing ever.

The sexiest thing a man could do for me is...give me his heart for his entire life, and mean it. And mine did. We just celebrated...get ready for this, you won't believe it (cause I don't!) our 30th anniversary. (We don't look it!)

I thought about it, and decided it goes beyond all those romantic "things" I dream of, to something more foundational.
WARNING!!
The following may be considered idealistic.
The sexiest thing a man could do for me is...
To have character. Not to be cool and suave, but to genuinely want to be the best man he can. (Cool and suave is a nice bonus, though!)
1. Seeking God on a day to day basis. A relationship that affects his daily choices, is based on personal research into God's Word and that contains an active discussion of life with God in recognition of His forgiveness.
2. An awareness of the effects of his choices on the world around him with a desire to enrich others. Or, to make it shorter, kindness. Not grandiose gestures like 24 roses and a fancy dinner, but helping change the baby day after day and driving carefully even when in a hurry.
Notice I did not suggest he would attain perfection in this. These are simply markers of a character that is VERY attractive to me. Everyone does incredibly stupid things from time to time. That's where #3 comes in.
3. Telling the truth and not leaving those lie landmines that could destroy a relationship laying around where they can do the most damage. Better to carefully detonate them in a protective way so as to safeguard the relationship. A man who lies in order to keep a relationship has already destroyed it. I can say from experience that it is easier to forgive an honest confession than to recover from deceit.
#3 is kind of hard to discern until it's already too late. That's why it's such a treasure when you have it. It's really painful if you don't, that's for sure.

In keeping with the need to behave, one of the biggest things I find attractive is honesty. I find that what really matters is what's on the inside. Some people may be very attractive but have conflicting views and ideals. I would rather have someone tell me an honest answer rather than lie about it and find out about the lie later. Funny karenee, I meet or try to meet each of your credentials. Must be why my wife accepted my proposal. Like twyrch, anything you feel is perhaps inappropriate can be PMed to me and I'll review it, get some enjoyment and if you desire, let you know if it is appropriate to post. There are things best left away from normal viewing. |
