I've heard a lot of praise for Gaiman's stuff and I was thinkin of checkin it out. Anyone else read any of his books? (I know American Gods is pretty popular, that's his if you don't know)

I read a compilation of a number of his writings in a book called Smoke and Mirrors. It was pretty good. He has a very different style.
I would recommend picking up Smoke and Mirrors and starting from there.

American Gods is absolutely amazing.....that and Neverwhere....Gaiman is absolutely amazing....if you're a comic fan, too (which i believe you are, judging by your sig), check out the Sandman comics that he's done.....utterly beautiful art mixed with his creativity.

Mmmmm...Neil Gaiman.
Dark, disturbing, gritty, and bleak.
Yup...I love his stuff. From comics to novles to childrens stories...he will make you smile while your imagination screams in terror.

*Thinks Dream is hot. . .*
I've only read his Sandman graphic novels, but I LOVED them. . .not only because Dream is hot. . .but because they have a lot of coolness. . .like "I am hope"

He's wonderful. I've read American Gods and Neverwhere and Stardust. Start with Stardust. That's what a friend of mine who has read all his books told me.

its described as an adult fairy tale. and it really is. a lot lighter than the other 2 that's for sure. Also a friend of mine told me that they are making a comic of Neverwhere and it looks really awesome. It's not going to be written by Gaiman but someone else who is good is going to write it so never fear. I'll hook you guys up with more info when I can ask my friend about it again. EDIT: ok here's some sites about it. lucifermorningstar.com/And this is one picture that they have floating around, I think its Door. its bitchin that much is for sure. www.glennfabry.co.uk/gallery3.htm
