I was just wondering if you had a preference of paper back or hard back when reading a book.
I don't care either way, as long as I get to read a book!!

For reading, I enjoy paper backs but if theres a particular book I want a really nice copy of, I get a hardback.

I voted paperback, but there are some hardback styles I enjoy. I hate the kind with slipcovers.

For reading, I enjoy paper backs but if theres a particular book I want a really nice copy of, I get a hardback. I have to agree paperbacks i find easier to hold but hardbacks look so much nicer on my shelf. (plus if it is a book I really want i would be too impatient to wait for it to come out in a paperback form). I am a bit of a stickler for organization, only when it comes to my books though, if i have a book in hardcover i want the rest in that series to be the same.

Because of the cost, I have to reserve hard-bound books for those I know will get a lot of handling: children's books and perennial favorites like Tolkien or Lewis or Song of Albion (I hope a hardcover set of those some out, my paperback copies are getting dog-eared).

I voted that I don't care either way, however, I don't really like the very small paperbacks with the very small font. If I am reading for hours on end, it gives me a headache. Other than I don't really care.
For our library of books that we really like, I do like to get the hardback for the collection, but maybe not necessarily to read.

Hardbacks for reading, hardbacks for looking at... hardbacks for president!

I enjoy hardbacks, but I take it a step further... I prefer the hardback to be a first edition if I can manage it... I also prefer to keep my dust jackets and maps in mint condition.
If I can't have a first edition, I will get the oldest one I can find. For the special books, I will have two editions... one to read and one to collect.

I don't really care either way, although generally I prefer hardbacks. Paperbacks pack easier than hardbacks, but hardbacks last longer. Paperbacks are also cheaper.

I usually prefer paperbacks because they are cheaper. Although, my Narnia series is in hardback because I wanted a nice and long-lasting set.

Why would anyone spend money on two copies of the same book, both to be kept? Buy a second book instead!

I don't really care that much. I'll read either paper or hard backed books and enjoy it equally. The dust jackets are really sweet on many of the hard backs.

I don't really care all that much, but I tend to buy books in hardback, so I'll vote hardback.
