Hello, I'm getting married in October at our Church's Harvest Festival and we're having a medieval/celtic wedding. Does anyone have any good ideas on what we should do? I would love for Lawhead to put out a book on The Celtic Wedding. I always love the weddings in his books. Any help is very much appreciated! Thanks so much  |

Thanks for responding but I'm not looking for Handfasting rituals lol. Maybe I didn't specify it's going to be a Christian wedding?  I saw a live hand fasting once done by some Wiccans at the Scottish Games here in California. That's not what I'm after but I appreciate the response. About dancing around a fire naked ... I'll reserve that for after our marriage We've gone through great paines to make sure we make it to our wedding night virgins and I don't think dancing naked would help our hormones much ... Courtship is hard enough as it is  But it's totally worth it in the end! Thank the Lord October is coming up in 6 or 7 months! ;D |

Don't take what Wiccans do as reality... and certainly not as Celtic. Wicca was the religion of the Saxon invaders against whom the Celts fought.

Wow, that would be a hard temptation to resist! I learned that being a man is to accept responsibility - no matter what the circumstance. A beautiful naked woman can throw herself at you but you as the man are responsible for what happens. No excuses. It's a shame she would tempt you like that, but really ... you should have held your ground brother. Sorry if I sound judgmental, I'm not judging you, I'm just sharing a conviction. My wife had only been with one other man, when we met. So, it worked out that each of us had only had one other partner and didn't make her feel bad for not waiting.
