My Parents would kill me if they knew I was posting this... ;D In NOVEMBER of 2007, my DAD will turn 54. Big number. In DECEMBER of 2007, my MOM will turn 50. Over the hill. In SEPTEMBER of 2007, my oldest brother, PETER, will turn 25, and CALEB, the next oldest, will turn 23. That's too old for my brothers. In MARCH of 2007, I will turn 20. Entering a new decade; that's scary. In JULY, my oldest sister, RUTHANNE, will turn 16. NOT MY LITTLE SISTER! In FEBRUARY of 2007, SARAHJANE, the next in line, will become a TEENAGER. 13. No. It can't be. In APRIL, my youngest sister will turn 11. That's pretty old considering she was 5 yesterday. I'm not looking forward to turning twenty. I mean, I know it's more than a year away, but I pretty much wasted my teenage years, and I don't wanna mess up this upcoming decade. WE'RE GETTING OLD!!!

Oh, brother. If you think 20 is getting old, just wait until YOU hit 50 and you'll suddenly think that 50 is not so old. Enjoy every age you are because there are some great things that come with that time of your life that you won't have again as you age. Then again, there are some wonderful things that you can't have when you're younger!!
(Not that I would know about the 50 part, I'm not quite there yet.)

Hey, I'm with you on turning 20. Every single one of my friends had issues with turning 20. It was very rough for a while, like one of those turning points in your life where you aren't sure what's what.

The worst part about being in your 20's is looking back at your teen years and realizing you wasted all your time looking forward to your 20's. That's why I determined to live my 20's so that I don't feel the same way about my 20's when I'm in my 30's. Grasp that concept, if you can!

I can honestly say teenage years stink. I think theres more fun to be had in the 20 - 30 range. I agree completely!!! Unfortunately, I squandered much of the time and money I had in my early 20's on things I regret now... Oh yeah... in FEBRUARY 2007, I turn 30.... Like Cynan, I'll be entering a new decade of my life. What I've come to realize is the older I get... the older my parents and grandparents get and before long, I won't have any grandparents left alive...

Apparently, I'm the only person around that enjoyed life as a teenager. Sure, I did some really stupid things and have lots of regrets (paths not taken) about what whole period, but I have to say that 16-18 was the best three years of my life so far.
Don't get me wrong, since turning 21 things have been on the upswing...but crossing that 19/20 boundary was rough.

The twenties aren't all that bad, but I am not looking forward to April 07, I too will be turning 30. My Father is 52 in 07, My mother 51, My Step-Mom 46, Both my older brother and sister are going to be 32. My oldest will be 11 and my step daughter will be 15 (OMG). My little boy will be 2 . My DH will be 38. No complaints here, enjoy life and live it to the fullest!

Teens were the worst, 20's better, 30's better still. But I wouldn't change a thing.

*gets out cane and practices hobbling around* I turn 30 in '07! ROFL I think life gets better with age. Regret can only sour the future if focused on to the point of bitterness. Experience, however, is said to be a wondrous thing.

Cynan, don't worry about the twenties. . .don't worry what age you are. Who really cares? My grandmother died in her 60s but she was still 10 at heart. . .Who cares how old you are physically when mentally if you act like a kid, you'll continue to have fun. Sure, you'll have more responsibilities as you become older, but don't let those rule your life. It's at that point that you really do become Hook and can never go back to Peter Pan. . .
Don't worry, just enjoy it. . .that's what I've started doing and it really does work.

Now, me, I just refuse to grow old. Or at least I refuse to grow up. Even though I'll be turning 20 in two years, I still walk down the street singing along to the Newsies soundtrack at the top of my lungs. That's the secret to staying young, my friend.
