So going to revive this thread to bring up another culture miscommunication.
The canadian athletes from british columbia are staying in the olympic village in a house named "bella coola" which in a native tounge means "spirit tree", and has a tonne of culture significance here, but in italian it means "nice butt" in the feminine form. the italians are getting a kick out of it.
