We have a small update on the developer who wants to "mine" the 30 acre lot behind us. Not just "mine", but clear cut about 18 acres of trees, and haul away an entire hill (about 400,000 cubic yards of dirt) when one truck will carry about 20 cubic yards. Which means trucks going up and down our communal driveway area every 3 minutes for 5 months.
We are still trying to see if there is anything we can do to stall him or make it really undesirable for him to do this here. There are still many hurdles to jump through. So, if you could pray for us that we’ll be patient and that we’ll just rest in what God has planned, I would appreciate it. It’s hard to wait and see.
I'm quickly becoming an expert at talking the county, township, and a host of other officials. I have probably spent about 50 hours in the last month trying to figure out how to fight this and using everything I can think of to stop him. And we're still not done.
We have another meeting on Thursday, May 4th. Please, please pray that I'll be strong and do what I can to stop him and that our community will continue to rally around and voice their opinion, and that they can find a legal way to deny him this!! Thanks!

Dreamer - we are praying for God's will to be done in this circumstance. He knows the plans He has for you, and they are for your good, not your harm.

Thanks for praying, everyone. The battle is not over, just delayed another month. We're just hoping that the guy will give up and life can get back to its regular cycle. But we will just have to see what happens in the weeks ahead. I would continue to ask for your prayers as this is very stressful. (although I did lose 5 lbs this last month!) I just have so much else that I would rather work on, yet feel that I must do what I can to protect my family and my home.

Praying for ya, dreamer. I hope God's will is done.
The greatest prayer is not that God would change His will to be in line with ours, but that we would change our will to be in line with God's. -Bishop Fulton J. Sheen (paraphrased)

Please pray for my friend/co-worker. Her house was demolished by a tornado last night. Reduced to concrete slab. God protected them and kept them safe. They were both in bed. It was 11:30pm when it hit. She has nothing but the clothes on her back. Both cars are totalled as well and not drivable. She said they are bruised and beat up, but they are okay.
Her in-laws live close by and their house was demolished too. They didn't survive.
I appreciate your prayers.

Please pray for my grandma and my family... my grandma is dying rapidly of terminal colon cancer. It has been hard on all of us to watch her wasting away and saying goodbye without knowing when she will go.

Will be praying for you and your family fairiedustkisses.
Well, I sent out a little e-mail to my co-workers about my friend who lost everything in the tornado. I asked if we could show a little love. So far people have given over $13,000. I gave her cash and gift cards totally $6700 yesterday. I am so overwhelmed at God's love and provision and the outpouring of love the people we work with have shown.
We're going out there today to help build fences, clean up debris, haul off trees, and whatever else we can do to help.
I appreciate everyone's prayers.
