I'd like to ask that we all continue to keep Stephen Lawhead in our prayers. He told me that his treatments are over and that he's on the road to recovery. He also said that it's going to be a bumpy road and that he's not out of the woods yet, but he appreciates all of our prayers.
I'll keep you all posted as I hear more.

Been away from the board for a while - what is happening with Mr. Lawhead? Please bring me up to speed.

My grandpa had some tests done; he's been dealing with the stress of the fire and move, and it's caused some memory loss. It's probably no big deal, but he IS almost 80, so any trip to the hospital is tense.

My kid sister Tiffany had to go in for emergency surgery this morning. They are not sure what is wrong…please pray for her. She went into surgery at 6:45 this morning, Texas time.

Apparently she's out of surgery now, but there is something wrong with her lower intestines. They have a specialist coming in to look at her this afternoon. Apparently my BIL is on his way home to come take care of her and my Nephew who is 6 and has no clue what is going on.

Well there is still no word and the specialist didn't come. They did a CT scan with the dye on her yesterday...still waiting to hear the test results.

Well the results are in she has Crohn's Disease, it can be helped by a diet change and anti inflammatory drugs. They're testing other parts of her intestines to see if it affects more than just that area. Hopefully she'll be going home this week.

I work with a ministry in my hometown that caters to teens; it's a music venue/coffeeshop. Whenever I get the chance I always ask for prayer for it because it's truly only by the grace of God that it stays open and is able to function; finances and even the town it's self are against us. www.urcoffee.org |

I would appreciate some prayer... anyone whose been around knows most of the things happening...but I went in for more tests for my thyroid last week...well the dr rang and asked me to come see him so I have an appointment tuesday  I dont know about over there but dr's only call you back after tests here if there is something not good so of course all the worst possible scenarios are going through my head especially with cancer so predominate in my family (mum died 6 years ago with it, dad is dying now with it, grandma, aunts etc).... its probably just that I need meds for it, but the dr last time I was in was talking about how the thyroid not functioning properly could cause bad things in other parts of the body and stuff so yeah I am over worrying probably *doh* prayer for all my situations is still appreciated...thankyou to all that are praying even if its just now and again |
