Your use of that word makes me feel like a whatchamacallit. You mean the whatchamacallit that goes on the thingamajig that galls the gollywhopper?

My aunt gave me the nickname Karenee when I was little. It's a combination of my first and middle names, and rhymes with 'yay', not 'see'. Sidenote: (Had we not moved to Bolivia, Renee would have been my first name. Seeing as it's a male name there, Mom had pity on me, something I have often wished she had not done. For years in highschool I tried to convince my friends to call me Renee instead. Oh well. )

My board name is my online persona. I use it wherever I go in the virtual world, much as I use my given name in the real world. My first choice would have been a Middle Earth name... but Tolkien names were (and are) so ubiquitous that I would have had to attach a number or other addendum. I chose "Tinidril" because I needed an obscure reference to one of my favorite authors, C. S. Lewis. The character from Perelandra doesn't even get a name until the last chapter of the book! She is referred to only as "The Lady" or "The Green Lady" most of the time.
I chose her, not just because she is beautiful and intelligent, not because she is entirely green, and naked most of the time, but because she possesses the unique combination of both wisdom and innocence. She is the embodiment of Jesus' admonition to be "wise as serpents and innocent as doves".
I have so thoroughly attached myself to this persona that I bought the domain name!

Laurelin is one of the two trees in the Silmarillion. A lot of you probably knew that, but those who didn't, well you learned something today. I'm not sure why I chose it, really, except that it sounds nice and it's a really awesome tree.

My name actually comes from my kitchen. I have two words in wooden letters up above my cupboards, Dream and Love, and I just love the reminder to dream everyday!
