Coming to Lawheads

I'm here 'cause I tend to drift into forum's that cover some of my particular interests and hobbies... Lawhead, Tolkien, Football, Civilization (PC Game . I'm not a prolific poster, but I'll chip in when a conversation grabs me

I've been a fan of BBs for many years. But it wasn't until I joined the official LOTR fan club that I found a forum that was more like a "family". Usually I frequented forums which were designed to help newbies with web design (back in the day when GeoCities was the hottest spot and you had to know how to write a webpage by hand). The fan club forum was friendly, creative, and there were all those fanatical Middle-earth people just like me!

So when I saw the forum on the SRL site I thought I'd pop in and test the waters. Much the same caliber of people are fans of Lawhead as are fans of Tolkien: warm, smart, funny, and a large proportion of Christians, though not exclusively so. I think the major difference seems to be the age of the fans... the majority of Tolkien fans (online) seem to be women, at least half are middle-aged like myself. Here it is a more equal male to female ratio, and a younger crowd, but no less friendly!

I liked some ideas so much I instituted them at the fan club boards, too! Anyone for a Middle-earth limerick story?
