Something told me that there would be other people on this forum who appreciate and somewhat regularly attend Renaissance Festivals Last few years I've gone out to the awesome Texas Ren Fest and my fiance and I are planning to return the weekend of 15 November for their Highland Fling... Anybody else within driving distance of TRF want to meet us there? I would like to finally meet some of you (or get more than 90 seconds of face time with ONE elusive member But other than that, what RenFests have y'all been to? What's cool about them? How are they unique?

The last one I went to was over in the Houston area some years ago. I can't really recall too much unique about however.
On a side note, I did see a flyer for the Texas Ren Fest yesterday and thought I should check it out. My wife and I always say we should go, and then we end up missing out.

I don't know that, if we do go, we would wait that long. Probably we'll end up going in October.

Never been to the Texas RenFaire, but I know Owain Phyfe often plays there with the New Renaissance Band -- incredible music, incredible vocals, and highly recommended. Only had a chance to hear him once here in St. Louis.

Me?!?!? How did I get tagged for this?
*looks at map* We're talking about multiples of hundreds of miles here, guy.
*calculates* Let's see, if I start out first thing in the morning ... *rues how bad my math skills are* How late does the admission gate stay open? *wonders if it's discounted or free if it's within the last half hour*
