Simple question: does anyone here quilt? I do and one of my quilts today was not working out. I am so frustrated it is not even funny. Do you ever get so angry that you feel like you could just yell at everyone you see? THat is how I feel at this present moment - all because my quilt didn't work. Grrr. How challeging is life.

Well, I cant' say I do it with quilting, but I have felt that way when building websites or trying to get a picture or story right. You are not alone.

The closest I've ever come was this past winter, when each person in my department was asked to contribute one square to a surprise quilt for a colleague who was going to have her first baby in April. With much guidance and two months, I hand-stitched something. And it better be a long time before someone else in the department has a baby.

Yeah - quilting takes a lot of time, patience & sometimes just a little bit of creativity. I am planning on making 5 mini quilts by next July for some of my really close friends. Hopefully I can complete these without too much difficulty!
Thanx!

Teehee! I forgot! I made a simple block quilt for my son out of trains, planes, cars and bob the builder for Christmas a couple years ago. It turned out okay, in spite of my inexperience.

I quilt! My grandmother taught me how a few years ago and it's what I do when I'm stressed out. Hobbies are great. After she died I took all the quilt tops she had started home with me and my goal is to piece them all. I hand piece my quilts so I'm not familiar with the new machine piecing and quilting.
What pattern block are you working on? I really like some of the Amish patterns. They are very beautiful in their simplicity of design.
Good Luck to you on finishing the 5 you're planning on doing. I'm good to get 2 done much less 5. Of course I really don't like the "quilting" part as much as I enjoy the piecing of the top. But what can you do?
