Oaklynn bolted out of the cavern and looked northward. The dragon was soaring down towards the theives. "We need to get off this mountain. Dragons are smart, but territorial as well. If he catches us...we'll be nothing but cinders." Oaklynn climbed the side of the craig and head toward a large river east of the great mountain. "The Prophet Libra often heads to Polaris Lake. I've seen her there when I go hunting with my father. She's like a phantom, one mintune she there and the next she's gone." Meron took all of this in. So the prophet did have a name. Libra, and this boy Oaklynn have seen her as well. The pair of them walked carefully down the rocky ledges, Ammut was near by and the last thing they want to do is a catch the brute's attention.
However Ammut saw the humans scramble down the mountian, his mountain. I wonder what they're going? Mused Ammut. He'll let the brother's go for now, He'll have to catch up with them later. These humans, is what fasinated him now.

Meanwhile, Alon and Ariel did not get very far. For as soon as Ammut had turned aside they crashed into a tree, and right on thier heals were the Giant and the two drawfs. Now, cornered and shaken by the accident Ariel stumbled from the cart calling Alon's name. Turning to look in the back of the cart he noticed Alon lying unconcious. Next, to him lay the egg- still intact, luckily. Then turning back towards their pursuers he stared in unbelief as the Giant and his freinds came closer.
Ellu ap Elohim stood a tremendous 18 feet. He was a giant among Giants. Born of Cuculainn a noble Nephilim of Eier and Cimbri a Lady of the Tuatha de Danaan, he was a honorable giant in every respect great in strength and greater in stature. At his side stood two dwarfs almost identical in every way. They were gemini dwarfs: twins. One was named Dathan and the other Dothan. The only noticeable difference between the two was that Dathan's eyes were slate and Dothan's were aqua.
Ariel would never forget these eyes nor Ellu's bright blue eyes which suddenly burned bright red as he looked at them.
So, standing as if frozen Ariel met his captures.
Meanwhile, Ammut continued to follow Meron and Oaklynn, at a distance, as they went to find the prophet. His keen eyes easily pierced through the clouds, thus he was able to conceal himself as he glided through the sky several miles above their heads. Still wondering what they had been doing on his mountain and where they were going, he had the strange feeling that when they met he would not attack them and that they would converse on a very important issue. Perhaps, they were freinds of the prophet, his long term ally and confidant. "Hmm, we shall see, we shall see," said the wondering Ammut as he continued his escort.

Ammut saw the prophet concealing herself in a tree and circled down behind a nearby hill, knowing she had seen him and would soon follow.
Her skittercritter having jumped from tree to tree, she arrived in a cloud of leaves. "You idiotic creature!" She yelled, jumping from its back. "I clearly said to descend the tree and go across land! Look at my hair! My clothes are ripped, and I'm nearly out of thread! This behavior has to stop!"
"Hrhm..." Ammut cleared his throat and chuckled to himself when she jumped and turned to face him. "I don't suppose you could leave off berating the poor creature and tell me what you're up to?"

"Sure," he said with a smile. "I'm following those two vagabonds heading toward the lake...you know they are looking for you."
"Yes, I know... the tall one I have been watching for awhile... a little while back I had to save his life...but he has character...and if he doesn't die first I may enjoy getting to know him...why are you following them?" said the prophet.
"Well, I saw them leaving my mountain..."
Suddenly, he was cut short as they heard the scream of a young boy off in the distance.
Meanwhile, back at the base of the mountain Ariel quickly grabbed his brother, through him over his soilders, and took off through the forest. "What am I doing I can't possibly outrun these guys," he thought to himself. Then suddenly he fell. It was as if the ground beneath him just gave way and he and Alon were no longer being chased...neither were they in the forest, at least not in it, rather they were beneath it. As he gazed around at the beautiful cavern which he found himself in he sat in amazement, it was a wonder the like he had never seen beautiful in every way as if somehow supernatural in essence. As his eyes continued to adjust he noticed Alon stir and reluctantly yet lovingly turned his attention toward his brother.

Alons first words to his brother came as a suprise "ugh where is the egg?"
Ariel still dazed from landing within the cave had forgotten all about the egg and his plans and within this magificent structure it was as if it didnt even matter "uh what, umm oh the egg, I left it when I escaped with you and our lives" replied ariel somewhat reluctantly.
as alon came around he too noticed the majesty of the cave and started to sense something about it although he had no idea what excatly it was. He just knew it was no ordainary cave and he sensed a peace within it's walls like nothing he had felt before.
just then the brothers heard a muffled sound coming from above which startled them from the peace that was begining to surround them.
come on alon we have to find someplace to hide those people back there didn't look too friendly and that dragon is sure to be looking for us, and from the sounds of it one or the other is pretty close by.
Alon drug himself to his feet a little sore from his ordeal but not hurt " yes I can hear something too" and then looking around he saw a small path that twisted around a large rock to the side of them. "lets try this path and see where it goes, it would have to be safer than making our own path"

Gathering their senses they stumbled down the path Alon had found still awe struck by their surroundings. After some time wandering down the path without any sign of it ending Ariel spoke up. "Where do you think this path leads any way ?"
"Not sure" replied Alon but it seems to be leading us East and hopefully away from the mountain.
As he was talking he heard footsteps up ahead. Rushing forth the brothers caught a glimpse of a figuire scotting around the bend in the pathway.

The stone ceiling above them began to shake ominously and a low rumbling growl filled the air.

The giant had decided it was tired and was sitting on this nice rounded hilltop. In the meantime, Alon rushed out coughing from the smoke. His brother was not so fast.

"Hark! I hear a TREE!" Ariel screamed, then vanished in a cloud of dust.
Alon staggered back as the dust swept toward him.

"Frogs!" the prophet muttered. "Pigskins!"
Ammut simply watched, grinning a little and toying with a spout of flame which he'd been trying to learn to balance between his nostrils. The trick was in feeding it just enough fuel at the right angle, or it would run up his nose and make him sneeze fire.
"Aaargh!" the prophet kicked over her staff and waved at the vision smoke she'd summoned to float around her head. "I'll have to take a hand in all this, my friend, after doing my absolute best to stay out of it. Look at the muddle these cretins have made of my life!"
"Well, you're a prophet, Heliotrope." Ammun swallowed his fire and chuckled. "Want a more reliable form of transportation than your critter, there? This is the most amusement I've had in a century!"
"Don't call me that!" Heli caught up her bags and tossed them at Ammun's nose. "You're going to be far more annoying than my skittercritter, who was merely trying to help. But you're right, you're more reliable. No teasing me when I'm damp or uncomfortable, mind you. I've enough on my mind already."
"Hmph, you're always uncomfortable, Heliotrope." Ammun chuckled as she dug her staff into his chin. "Come on, slow-poke, before those children get squashed."

"Hear a tree?" Alon thought to himself ever so breifly before his thoughts quickly returned to the dust which was encirling him. What will I do now? How will I find Ariel? What is going on? UHH! ALL Seeing One help me he sighed as another whirlwind of thoughts flooded his mind.
