make someone happy because my mood usually depends on the moods of the people around me would you rather live in the middle of the city close to everything where it never gets quiet or out in the country where you are far away from everything

I guess Mars. At least there's weather and some other things I'm used to; just not enough of them.

Tame a feral cat, of course. (If all else fails, there is an animal shelter nearby)

Teach preschoolers. They're pretty easy to control if you know what you're doing. Fortunately, I know what I'm doing.

If I was alone I would prefer the smaller place - less expensive.

Well, in the shoe... smell might be a problem... However, a gingerbread house might leave you homeless if a hungry mob came through.... So I'd choose the shoe and look for bacteria killers.
