In a long box shape large enough to hold a man, it was an eldil, the Archon of Mars the Oyarsa of Malacandra. It's shape was a cylinder of light, with no color to be described by this man, and not sitting on a terrestrial horizontal.

"The most noticeable thing in the room was the big white object. I recognized the shape well enough this time. It was a large coffin-shaped casket, open. On the floor beside it lay its lid, and it was doubtless this that I had tripped over. Both were made of the same white material, lie ice, but more cloudy and less shining." " 'That's what I'm to travel in.' " It was Ransom's transportation between Earth and Perelandra (Venus). And you are crrect! Your turn, Tegid!

What name do the beings in the rest of the Field of Arbol use when referring to Tellus, and what is the meaning of that name?

Tellus is earth, Thulcandra or also known as the silent planet. It is the planet where the bent or fallen Lyarsa live. It is called the silent planet because the guardian angel of earth rebelled against the old one (God) and was defeated and hurled back to earth. It was considered fallen, out of touch and out of communication with the universe.

The first time Ransom meets the Lady of Perelandra she is surprised and disappointed when she sees him clearly. The second time, how does she react to him and what name does she give him?

She laughs and calls him "Piebald" because his body is half white and half sunburnt (from his travel through space in the transluscent, coffin-looking thing), which reminds her of one of the two-color spotted animals.

What is the name of the language Ransom learned on Mars, which he says may be called Old Solar?

Hressa-Hlab (the name used on Malacandra), or Hlab-Eribol-ef-Cordi (the more general name)
