In order to avoid gossip over his vacating of the Shire, Frodo claims that he is moving to Buckland, and sets off finally with his companion Samwise. Who else accompanies these two away from the Baggins' abode?

Hmm... Merry Brandybuck?

I believe it was Pippin, because Merry had already gone ahead to Crick Hollow with a wagon full of Frodo's things.

I thought it was both Merry and Pippin, and that Fatty Bolger had taken the things. Been way too long since I've read it!

You've got it right Danath. It was Pippin. Time to reread everyone. I'm going to and digging out harder questions.

You know, it IS time to reread. The pony is named Bill, named after the shifty Bill Ferny.

What did the Rohirrim do as the fought on the fields of Pelennor, and why did they do it?
EDIT: Since I just realized that this question is very general and could be answered with a good many responses, I'll be a bit more specific:
The book says that what they did was "fair and terrible [and] came even to the City."

Are you referring here to the great charge against the forces of Mordor that carried them to the City, of which the first circle was overrun and burning?
As an aside, has anyone else ever heard the BBC dramatization of LotR? I personally find it to be very entertaining.

Their singing.
I started the BBC version but couldn't get past the cultured British orcs in the first scene.
