Hey, Tegid:
I can add reputation to a member's profile, so why don't you tell me how much each person earned and I'll do it for you.

So, how much longer shall I leave this open for the (at least) three more possible points? Right now, it's dred 6, dinadan 3, with reputation already added for that.

I'm out of ideas at the moment as well and I doubt I'll go dig up the books for the time being.
I do have an idea for the continuation of this contest though. We do this as has been done in other threads. A question is asked and the person who gets the correct answer will then post the next question. That way you to can participate Tegid.

Right, that's what's going to happen. But I'm waiting to see if the baton gets passed to you, or if dinadan ties or passes you on this one. Regardless, there are still at least 3 reputation points that are available to *anyone* on this question.

Eagles carry Beren and Luthien away from Thangorodrim to Doriath, to save them from the madness of Carcharoth. Thorondor warns Turgon that Hurin's reappearance can only mean Gondolin's ultimate danger is imminent. Possibly the most unusual, and maybe controversial. The warning Manwe sent to Numenor evening after evening near the end to turn from their evil plot, which only hardened their resolve.
Dred! It's yours! Give us our next trivia poser here.

I'll give you a pretty simple one to keep things moving.
Who was Shelob descended from?

ooooh oooooh! Ungoliant! That's where the 'Ungol' in 'Cirith Ungol,' Stairs of the Spider, comes from.

I'll give you a pretty simple one to keep things moving. Who was Shelob descended from? The spiders-creatures bred from Ungoliant in Nan Dungortheb.

How are Elrond and Aragorn related? Name TWO ways!

Easy. Elrond's brother was Elros, first King of Numenor, and Aragorn is decended from the Kings of Numenor through the house of Andunie. Then, of course, he's Elrond's son-in-law because he married Arwen, daugher of Elrond and Celebrian.
